What a wonderful world :)

Don’t you have these phases when a particular thought or idea predominates all our actions and reactions? A concept that is new or the importance of something that newly dawned on you. These phases predominate for sometime later get inculcated into our personality without being preoccupations. I love people who work for a cause but I have also come across many people who are so preoccupied with a single idea or social phenomenon that they see everything through the same angle; all pictures, all conversations start ending up and beginning at the same point. Furthermore, personalised content on social media redirects to the same issue related content, rekindling thoughts over and over, till it seems an obsession. Casteism, gender inequality, cultural erosion are all very prevalent and need attention to the distress they cause, but at the same time there’s a huge, wonderful world out there which needs to be explored for its goodness. Aren’t lot of these issues curbed by us, ‘ourselves’ being an embodiment of these values? People around you who aren’t syntonic to these behaviours then have the option to observe, understand and change too. These are too big issues to humanly win over everyone and also there are a lot of grey areas, where right and wrong can no longer be told, or rather, best forgotten. And justifiably so, “the cost of sanity in this society is a certain level of alienation”. Also sometimes unconscious defence mechanisms like asceticism, sublimation are at play and its very difficult to realise this on our own, much difficult to nudge someone else to realise.
