Meditative
Slowly bidding adieu to the days
Where I used to entertain performance of my emotions
I used to ebb and flow
With my mood
Steaming anger or draining sadness.
Slowly I am teaching myself
To be the audience.
I watch the emotions perform
Sometimes I clap,
Sometimes I shed a tear;
But always I remember
To get up and leave after the show
Going back and dissecting the play
Not as an actor,
But as an audience.
I wait, to make sense out of the bits
Which intrigued me
And when the drama becomes overwhelming
I zoom out
Remember that my inner most self is very calm
And bears no emotions, so all this shall pass
At it own time.
